Tips

Must Do Hey Cupcake! , This cupcake truck is to die for. It parks near 6th street during SXSW. Eat a damn cupcake.
Must Do Barton Springs Pool , Natural feed spring pool. Always the same temp year round. Beautiful as well!
Must Do Mother's Cafe & Garden , One of the best veggie restaurants in Austin. Must go!
Must Do Buffalo Exchange , 100% the best "high class" thrift-store I have been to. Ever.
Must Do The Salt Lick , Another really amazing BBQ joint.
Must Do Amy's Ice Creams , Great homemade icecreams! Flavors change daily!
Must Do Threadgill's , My #1 fav. restaurant in Austin. Try the fried green tomatoes & the veggie plate is fabulous.
Must Do Kerbey Lane Café , By the University - open 24 hrs. Amazing breakfast, lunch, dinner. Try the pumpkin pancakes if they have them!
Must Do Texas State Capitol , Really cool views from the dome and the grounds are really beautiful! Don't try to take a picture w/ George Bushs portrait, you will get yelled at.
Must Do Mt. Bonnell , Climb to the top at sunset and see all of Austin! One of my favorite places
Must Do The Oasis on Lake Travis , Bad food great views! Good drinks. Kinda expensive. Worth the views - go at sunset.
Must Do Toy Joy , Coolest toy store I have been in.
Must Do Franklin Barbecue , BEST BBQ IN AUSTIN. Get there early. You will wait an hour for food. It is worth it.
Do Mohawk , Great laid back rockin bar
Do The Parish , Fun bar, always great music
Do Rudy's Country Store & Bar-B-Q , Family style bbq place. Try the brisket!
Do The Blanton Museum of Art , Get a little culture
Do The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum , Learn more about the state you are in!
Do Museum Of The Weird , If the name doesn't draw you in, I don't know what will :)
Do Likkity's Frozen Custard , My mouth is watering thinking about it
Do Lustre Pearl Bar , Really cool bar !
Do Town Lake Park , great little park by the lake
Do Habanero Mexican Cafe , Authentic, muy muy deliciousa Mexican food. Try the Migas.
Do Auditorium Shores Dog Park , For all you dog lovers!
Do Zilker Botanical Gardens , Cool botanical gardens!
Do Hippie Hollow Park , Scenic, nice spot to relax by the lake.
Do Counter Culture , Amazing food truck
Do Tears of Joy Hot Sauce Shop , So many different hotsauces & quality products!!
Do Veggie Heaven , Right by the University, this place is cheap and delicious!
Do BookPeople , My favorite bookstore in Austin. Independent.
Do Half Price Books , Another great bookstore but a chain. Cheap cheap cheap. Books!
